Interview Highlights
Nothing can stop a woman who knows what she wants, and Spiceda’s life is a true testament to this. Spiceda knew what career she wanted to pursue as a young girl, and she went forward to do just that. Although her path was not completely straight, it lead her exactly where she wanted to and was meant to be. She leaped into entrepreneurship after being laid-off from one of the firms she worked at, which was the push she needed to became the CEO she envisioned for herself as a child.
Spiceda has shown up and spoken up to get to where she currently is. Being student body vice president in college led to her being recruited for her first CPA position, and putting together a presentation for one of the CPA Firms she worked at led to her understanding her value and seeking an increase in her wages. Spiceda has exemplified that we get what we are present and vocal for.
Spiceda lives by the principle that “rejection is God’s protection” and she has learned to not take things personally, knowing that what is meant to be will be. She also has chosen to live in freedom, which entrepreneurship has played a great role in providing for her.
